There are a number of ways abuse does this.
When we experience repetitive abuse we can come to associate “receiving” with abuse, pain or negativity. When we form these associations, energetically we can block our capacity to receive. Our mind may create a defense mechanism to protect us from abuse--but it also blocks out goodness.
When we experience abuse, it damages our self-esteem. We feel worthless or not good enough. That lack of self-worth creates a lack of trust in self and therefore we don’t believe we can achieve our goals or dreams or create money. It makes us feel stuck.
Abuse blocks our second chakra, which is our sexual chakra and creative center. When our second chakra is blocked, our ability to receive money is also blocked.
We may be living in fear of human relationships. Certain types of abuse cause us to form an unconscious belief that people are dangerous. This cuts off our capacity to receive.
If our unconscious mind believes that men are dangerous, for example, we probably won’t like working with men or we will energetically block off our ability to work with them which is basically cutting off half of the population.
